NAS JAX

That stands for Naval Air Station Jacksonville. It is one of the best military posts we have stayed. It is the only one that has reversable street lanes. In the morning there are three lanes coming into the base and one going out. In the afternoon there are three lanes going out of the base and one coming in.
We arrived when the magnolias were blooming. Here in the south the magnolias grow very, very big and when they are in bloom they are amazing.

This is a picture of Jacksonville. There are lakes and ponds and creeks and rivers everywhere.

Because this is an air station they have a plane "museum" filled with all types of naval planes.

The sign says the original home of the Blue Angels (now out of Pensacola FL) in 1946.

We saw this eagle several times while we were here. Must have a nest nearby.

This is a maintenance crew symbol.

Out at golf course found this cutie who loved the camera.

We had to take a trip to TPC Sawgrass (home of the PGA Players tournament a few weeks ago). There is something about the courses the pros play that is different. It is like a different energy. Pretty cool.
