2010 FINDS US IN DESTIN, FLORIDA

What a difference a state makes. Florida has wide, wide freeway and swamps everywhere. Highway 10 is a four lane freeway built up high. A good thing too because half of the land on each side of the freeway is under water.

On a course in Tallahasee that Lance photographed there were signs on every hole to stay out of the swampy areas because of snakes and alligators. The golfer he was playing with said there were cottonmouth and coral snakes in the area. Eeww!! Yes, Florida does feel a little "swampy".

Destin Florida is a resort town with lots of bridges and beautiful white sand. The is Fudpucker's not at all like the Fuddrucker's we took Steven to in Myrtle Beach SC. For one thing it has alligators!!!!

There miniture golf courses are really not very minature.

This is the view from the where we are staying in Destin. We are on the Choctawhatchee Bay (say that ten times fast) side of the peninsula. On the other side is the Gulf of Mexico.

Here is a picture of a nearby home.
